Extreme Situation:Although the time we are living in is of no frontiers -an age of global interconnectivity- brutal frontiers still remain. Both physical and mental man's constructed frontiers absurdly seperate countries, split cities, divide cultures, religions, friends and families.
Proposal: Departing from the idea that an extreme way to create a frontier is to build a wall, the main idea of this project is to create space inside the wall. From both sides, the view of the wall remains the same, only existing the entrances. People are send away from the outside reality to a place of non-existence, where the only presences are an old olive tree and the sky. Throughout the spaces, happenings, exhibitions and concerts can take place and cultural exchanges likely occur, joining people from both sides into "tolerance". Therefore the "wall" will no longer have meaning and can be destroyed. Then the empty spaces will be filled up and turned into a "fossilized shape", remaining as a mere monument.
