UNESCO Grand Prize

LANGZIJIAO, YANGYI, ZHUWENJUN, LIXIN (PR of China)

Location: Third longest river of the world, the Yangzte River, Wuhan, PR of China.

Extreme Situation: Flood condition due to rainstorms in the summer times.

Proposal: A raft-like structure is created to act like a boat and save the inhabitants living in it from the flood. Concerning its easy-built and economy, the structure would be built up by surrounding materials such as bamboo and reed, using chinese traditional techniques.
